Clustering and Availability Software

Clustering and availability software virtualizes the system services of multiple systems so that they appear in some sense as a single computing resource. This market includes cluster managers and compute farm managers as well as load balancing software that stands between the user request and the processors or systems supporting applications or services. This software determines which processor or system has the most available capacity and routes the workload to that system. Representative vendors and products include the following:
