The first step in the mentor process is completion of an application, which gives you a chance to tell a little bit about yourself, and to begin to identify the child that would be the best match for you.

Mentee Application
Please fill out the following questionnaire, to assist us in identifying a match between your child and a prospective mentor. This information will be shared with the mentor, to better find a compatible match. If your child is old enough, please allow him or her to fill in appropriate sections.

Dear Miss. Klein,

Meeting you this year was probably one of the best things that happened to me this year. Besides being a great teacher you a great person with a big heart. You’re like a big sister to me. The big sister I never had. I felt overjoyed when I heard about the mentoring program. I feel like it has really helped me not feel so lonely. You’re funny cool and my favorite teacher. I’m so happy I met you this year. Hanging out with you has been a blast. I want you to know that even though I’m moving that doesn’t mean we can’t hang out. I wish I could perform with you in the eighth grade song. Maybe I’ll be back by then and we could perform together. I promise to give you my new phone number when I get it. Please promise me we will be friends forever. One of the reasons I don’t want to move is because of you. This year has gone by so fast. I’m surprised how well we got to know each other. I will miss you so much, but we will still see each other even if I move.
