IDC is the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets. One of their core groups, the Software and Services group wanted to launch a new advisory group, The Software Leadership Council. This group of software leaders from leading companies internationally would meet twice a year and network resources and information. Mitchell Creative's challenge was to create a distinctive brand identity that gave this new group a personality of its own, while maintaining its strict correlation to the parent IDC brand.

We began by creating a logo, then all related identity materials which included: logo, letterhead, Powerpoint presentation template, Brochure, Loose insert flyer sheets, Envelopes, pens, pads, invites, pdf promos, html newsletters, name tags, tent table cards, meeting ageenda flyers and contact sheets.

One of the most important features of this identity was selecting the right paper stock and print vendor; allowing us to complete the task of delivering a comforatably tactile, high-quality printing that was cost-effective, delivered fast, and spoke volumes about the overall quality of this group. There have since been several very successful repeat events, all with the same exact commitmnt to brand quality.

 

Design News. A internationally recognized design engineering publication is well known for many of it's special publication. One of which is their annual Automotive Issue. A highly-read publication that contains a wide variety of articles, opinions, resources, and visuals supporting today's design engineer.

In this example, we needed to develop a very efficient promotional device to help market this upcoming issue which focused on the many areas of design engineering technologies, and how today's design engineer is involved in such a wide variety of disciplines.

We had two weeks to develop, produce, and print materials.

We began with an idea to use a "giveaway" of a small toy car with the Design News logo. Then, using that car, create a print ad and follow up promo mailer that illustrated the areas of which design engineers cover in the automotive market, as well as features of the upcoming automotive issue. Mail the car, print the ads, mail the follow up promo...

Oh yeah, and to beat the challenge of finding a photographer to shoot our toy car within the timeframee, and limited budget, we shot the car, digitally enhanced it, and used it in all materials. Mission accomplished.

 
 

Modern Materials Handling. One of Reed Business Information's (once Cahners Publishing) key publications was in a position to re-invigorate a brand that was strong, but moderately static for a number of years and needed to develop a mechanism to bring an "awareness" to the brand and motivate readership.

By partnering with Joel Deceuster & Associates, we worked together to create a new, and much different approach to a typically "bland" readership. By focusing on the concept of Leonardo Divinci, a Master of innovation and of Motion we were able to develop a group of materials that highlighted the "motion" of materials globally by exposing the "masters" of circulation, editorial, etc... tying them into the them of "Masters."

We developed and created a magazine issue wrap with promotional content printed on and around it, as well as three follow-up prmotional cards, each focusing on individual components of MMH' strengths (mastery!). The materials included consistant brand look and feel with letterhead, envelopes, and Web materials. The cream-colored linen stock was integral in providing the same consistency of quality, and classiness that went along with the whole campaign.

We managed to task of creative development through printing, providing our client with affordable printing, fast, and under budget.
